Good afternoon everybody.
I have been a Norton customer for many years and am delighted with the quality and effectiveness of the software.
However...
I am finding that Norton Security (22.7.0.76) imposes a substantial load on my WIndows 10 system. I run W10 64-bit Home on my Dell Inspiron 530, a more than capabale platform.
I have tried to configure Norton to be as non-invasive as possible, turning off pretty much everything via Settings (and even putting it into Quiet Mode when browsing). I do all my scans manually. I let Windows size my paging file(s).
So my question is as follows. Why is the software hogging my CPU and thrashing my disk (C drive only, 2nd disk doing nothing) whenever I log in to Windows? I expect it to boot the firewall and very little else.
I have attached my system spec for info purposes.
Any assistance appreciated.
