I have a Windows 8.1 PC, with a Hyper-V virtual machine running Ubuntu. I have my WiFi running in the Ubuntu VM through an internal virtual switch in Hyper-V; note that an external switch does not work with WiFi. The internet has been working correctly for over a year. A few days ago my wireless internet in Ubuntu suddenly stopped working. I have narrowed the problem down to the Norton Firewall, since when I turn off the Firewall the internet in Ubuntu works perfectly. Note that this problem does not occur with the Ethernet connection, which is running on an external virtual switch.
What steps should I take to remedy this problem? I have the Norton Security Suite, version 22.5.2.15.
