I spoke with a Norton tech who confirmed some of my suspicions.
Norton will perform an full system scan of your pc during idle time and you cannot turn this off. I always choose when to do mine manually.
I will not get into why i disable "backup" as I have my own external drive to which i 'image' with Acronis.
Also, I have disabled PC tune up as I do not think the average user should allow the registry to be cleaned -this is for those who can maneuver within the regisrtry. I know this can be disabled but I wanted others to know this as it is part of tuneup.
Do you agree the system scan cannot be turned off and will do a full system scan during idle time?
