Norton Security/Ugrade Problems

OK, guys, feels like you're giving long term customers the shaft here. I have over 400 days left on my current NIS 2014 , if I wait to renew, to get the non compatible new version I'll essentially be almost two versions behind. Calling customer service, they want me to pay 80 bucks!!! Something sounds funny. After I paid a great deal of money for a 3 year term, then two years later, with over a year left, I now have to pay 80 bucks. Less the a year left on my term, I'd wait and gladly pay, but come on, you seriously can't make me wait over a year to get the new version. And for God's sake, how can you ask me to pay an additional 80 bucks when I have over a year left on a 3 year term. I'm a loyal customer, have been for years. You will get my money  year after year, after year. You don't have hit me on the head, knock me out and take it early. There has to be some sort of reasonable solution here...emphasis of reasonable. Preferably one where I don't get it in the end :-)
