I’m having problems with Norton Security’s email spam feature. I recently changed one of my email accounts from POP to IMAP so I can check my emails from my iPhone. I use Outlook 2010 as my email client and GoDaddy provides the IMAP email account as part of my web hosting service. I also have a Gmail IMAP account and a local ISP IMAP account set up in Outlook. The Gmail and local ISP accounts work fine. However, the GoDaddy account does not allow me to select ‘This is Spam’ or ‘This is not Spam’; the buttons are grayed out.
I noticed that the 2 accounts that work have the usual ‘Norton AntiSpam Folders’ located at the same hierarchy (level) as the Inbox. The GoDaddy account does not have a ‘Norton AntiSpam Folder’. I created the folder manually but am forced to create it under the Inbox, not at the same level.
I unistalled NS and reinstalled it but that did not fix the problem. Does anybody have suggestions for fixing this?
