Norton seems to spy on my emails

Today I received an email from norton@secure.norton.com, which is advising me how to add new device to my mobile security.

Coincidentally, just one week ago I received an order confirmation mail from a local web shop for senior phone, which I bought for my mother. As it is the only reference to such activity, it looks that Norton read that mail and passed it to their marketing. I have not received similar "advices" earlier.

I have not given any permissions to use AI on my email content for Norton marketing purposes, and I hate it when I cannot trust even my security provider.

I believe when cows fly. It is my paranoidism against your cloud AI - I am using firewall and virus protection on Mac, don't I?

Its Mac and no, restart has never helped when Norton firewall starts to make it's own rule decisions. It creates Safari and Firefox blocking rules on it's own. It also blocks Mac Networking as it does not understand Mac application paths.

And yes, I have disabled and enabled application specific rules, and I have removed application from rules list, and I have created manual rules, but nothing helps.

Only thing that helps is your best product: RemoveSymantecMacFiles

I have had product update emails disabled for years now. I did not even get the anti-theft discontinuation message.

Enabled or disabled, it does not explain the source of the message I received.

As a revenge to this forum posting, Symantec disabled my internet access by application blocking of all my browsers.

Norton does not have this capability to target a single users computer.

Try restarting your computer. Maybe some Windows updates require a system restart to be completed.

Um, what is your Norton Account Settings > Email Preferences
