This would help people who don't have a credit card, but need to purchase online a new subscription.
So please become a Visa Debit member so I can purchase a new subscription. I don't have a credit card.....
Hi Mr_Furious,
I've been using a Visa Debit Card since 2003 in renewing for Norton subscription each year. My card is issued from my bank. I have a credit card, but rarely use it. Currently my debit card is listed in my Norton Account and was used last year to renew my subscription. It will be used again this year when my renewal time rolls around. When my bank issues a new card prior to expiration time, I'll simply replace my current card in Norton Account with the new one.
The Visa Debit Card is accepted anywhere in the world a Visa Credit Card is. I purchase everything I buy with the debit card. I don't see where there should be any problem renewing your yearly subscriptions with your debit card.
Nope, didn't work. Symantec has to be a member of the Virtual Visa Program. Will try this another way.
Sounds strange. Maybe it's because my Visa debit card is issued from my bank. I've always paid for my renewals with my debit card. Never has been a problem.
u should understand that this virtual debit card its only limited for 3 banks debit account don't think everybody here uses this banks atleast i don't it looks more like a comercial Visa its a certified card emiter within a large number of banks worldwide and i never had any problems using it

if i didn't quote like in here it is for the top of the page
If you contact the Norton OnLine Support Team preferably by the chat route as given already they are the only people who can tell you about payments since we only deal with technical matters here.
Already did and they said they they support ONLY major credit cards. So, Symantec is missing out on a profit margin.
I understand the thread is marked Solved, but I'm still confused why people are having difficulty using a Visa debit card. As stated in an earlier post, I've been paying for my yearly renewals since 2003 with my Visa debit card.
I wonder if the simple difference is because my card is issued from my bank. A Bank/Debit/ATM card. There never has been a problem of my renewal transactions going through.
