Norton showing not protecting after system restore attempt

NAV2008 Vista home with Vista service pack 1

I was tring to see if using Windows Vista system restore would change my  network conections back to the state they were in a few  days ago. When I went to restore point for early morning 3/19/09 My norton NAV 2008 security center showed a huge red x and autoprotect was off and defs were out of place. No matter how hard  I tried I could not get things settled. I was concerned being on the interent with my security pants down (in addition going back did not restore my network connections back to where they were)

So I probably did something very wrong and veryy stupid. I found a more recent system restore point 3/21/09 and just clicked that while Norton was trying to right itself. When the comp shut downa nd rebooted, all appeared to be ok with Norton. Of course I was unprotected for a little bit, but a subsequent malewarebytes scan and Norton online security check came out clean

Does that sound like all was ok? I think for some reason going back a few days took out my NAV2008 recent defs, yet at the same time kept the Microsoft upodates. Unless my Norton was really ok but the system fooled it into thinking it was not. Is there any way to make sure taht I am back to par?I mean the fact that all my setting show green/secure and updated should be support enough, right?
