Norton SMB - No Device Options At All

So Norton have fixed this issue which is great (https://community.norton.com/en/forums/norton-security-smb-cannot-deleteremove-device) as we waited a long time.

The new issue is that now when you install Norton SMB on a new device the elipses dots that were on the bottom right of the tile are no longer present and we now cannot do anything. Old tiles have the option but new do not.

Without Options.jpgAlways something to fix with the product.

I like to rename my devices to the username instead of seeing a bunch of system names and then having to cross check that with out asset register.

Please get the options back for all devices.

Thanks, Kenny

I was wondering during my last post whether you have an M-series processor on the two devices in question.

Conversely, the issue I had as far back as early January was "account related", in that. I had the exact issue you are seeing. The issue was that every installation I had on my Norton Security Ultra subscription began showing as Norton 360 vice NSU on the devices. Yet, all were showing licenses being used under NSU. I couldn't remove the older incorrect device listings either. Even after this was corrected until yesterday. My suspicion is the issue is once again, backend related on the part on Norton as it was with me and has with others since.

@Gayathri_R Could you have the team look into this thread as well as this linked thread?

Hi SA, wondering if this new release is the issue for Mac. Not directly related but could be something that just needs fixed in this new version.

Hi SA

I don't have an issue with this product when installed on Windows devices, just MacOS. I suspect there is something missing permissions wise on in the MacOS Settings from setup.

Product is Norton Small Business and version installed is Norton 24.5.1.

OS is Sonoma V14.5

Regards, Kenny

Thanks for the post back and info. My apologies that I am not a MAC user, I could verify on that OS for you if I were. Have you tried logging out of Norton on those two devices and rebooting them so Norton can fetch the remote access anew? I forgot to ask in the earlier post, what is the Norton product installed on these machines and what version has it updated to? What is the OS version installed as well. Just trying to get an idea of where to take the next step. Thanks in advance.

SA

Hi SA, I've tried Chrome/Safari/Firefox and all the same

Two of my 110+ devices have no dots to do anything and these are the most recent installs both on MacOS.

Hello Kenny_D. Just reviewed my account, I found that I can perform 3 actions and the ... area functions as it should for all the devices listed in that subscription. Have you tried using a secondary browser, disabling VPN ( if used ), blocking extensions ( also if used ) ?
