Hello,
I have been a Norton consumer for many years, but sadly I have noticed that in the past few years the Norton software shows many signs of aging.
The backup module is very outdated and difficult to use (see more details here https://community.norton.com/en/forums/backup-module-very-outdated-and-non-intuitive).
The "report card" does not reset every 30 days as stated in the help files but works cumulatively.
The scheduled Full-scan does not run when programmed every 30 days.
Performance "optimize" still defragments SSD disks instead of trimming them, although this has been reported several times the past five years.
Many settings are scattered and illogically placed. Example: Firefox cleanup is in a different location than Chrome or IE cleanup.
Also, there is no cleanup support for Edge, neither the old or chromium versions.
The interface is buggy when monitor scaling setting is not at 100% (window border, corrupted loading bars).
It seems that there is an effort to modernize the interface with the new "My Norton" window, but this has so far brought more inconsistency due to old and new interface being present. This reminds Windows 10 that has two interfaces with modern Settings and old Control panel, none of which are sufficient on their own.
Hopefully, we will see a fully updated product coming soon.
