Norton Status Indication

Hi,

Please be patient, I'm new to this.

I use Windows 7 operating system. I'm sure you're aware that you can pin 'gadgets' to your desktop.........like a clock or calendar etc. Until recently I had something similar in appearance to a 'gadget' that indicated the status of my Norton anti-virus. If all was well it appeared as a green banner with the word 'secure' across it. If I needed to do an update it would indicate this and by clicking on this banner it would 'fix it'. I found this useful, it was prominent and difficult to miss. Since upgrading my Norton antivirus (to 2013 I believe) my status banner has gone awol, the only indication of status being the small globe and tick icon on the far right of the tool bar (much easier to miss)

I know I don't need the banner, but I liked it ......Does anyone know a way I can get it back?

Regards,

Si
