I have used Norton for more than 25 years. First on a mac and later on when I moved on to windows.
I loved Norton for its non intrusive protection of my mac/pc.
Regrettably, the last 3-4 years Norton is forcing its services on me. I HATE it . Stop telling me that you have VPN, Firewall, cleaning services etc etc. Also 3 months before my subscription ends continuous mails that my subscription is ending . GIVE me a break. Fix this fast and become non intrusive again ( I hope). Or at least I am switching to W11 Defender.

easy just disable the mute special offers it possible dont take all but in the old version it disable about 80% and it will possible also do it in the new version better then nothing right just remember that you has to disable it Again when a new major is coming out you possible got it aktivitet becurse the 25.4 just came out but the stupids you can do is go to windows defender it is the Lowes to get virus you can get if you hate norton then take Bitdefender just remember that the norton 360 25.4 is extreme unstable i got minimum 10 bugs but the Reesen it dos not matter is that all the bugs is 80% stabel so it is not a problem to the 25.5 is coming out only the start up manager is extreme unstable at 50%
I did the easy solution. And stopping 80% is just not enough.
Whether it is defender (read reviews on defender by many professionals) or bit defender etc, I just don’t like a product that promotes stopping spam, viruses etc and then does it itself without allowing the user to stop this own promotion!!
I hope Norton fixes this soon.
It will never get fix that is the best you can do it and it has bin like that for years it will never be getting fix more then 80% it is not comming over and it is ok it is better then 100% comming there is 1 way to get 100% gone by Owning norton utilities antitrack and driver updater and all is gone but if you dont own them all they will never be gone 100% ore the more produckts you own the more it is gone

snak pænt til andre det kan godt være ting ikke er perfekt men det er den eneste løsning skal du også kunne acceptere at det er den eneste løsning så gå til avg og løs problemet der norton tvinger dig ikke til noget du kan bare ikke undgå at se dem og det har været sådan siden de sidste 5 år mindst
The sell ups are one thing - What annoys me more is the alert notification that suddenly pops-up that dramatically tells me that my “device is not protected”. Of course the real time protections and firewall ARE still all in place - they merely want to sell Norton VPN or anti-tracking, driver updater or whatever. It is annoying and deceitful.
did you disable the mute special offers but remember at McAfee it is about 10 times more and you cant disable a thing before you get the big version here you can disable som of it and you dont get info to buy the vpn when there is a vpn in norton 360 i now it is iretating but at least they got a plan b i dont now how much it can take but i think it is the same ass in the old version

det var nok derfor de sagde at den lagde pĂĄ 80% fordi der kunne slippe noget igennem men det giver jo mening den er pĂĄ 100% men de kan ikke garenter at den er perfekt
Agreed!. I’ve used Norton for 10+ years and am very disappointed over the persistent up selling. The most annoying is the scare tactic of how badly exposed your system and condition are: Norton 360 (3000+ broken registry keys) vs. CCleaner Pro and Windows tools ( < 10). Outrageous behavior for a “premier” software company. Since I’m a computer systems architect with 50+ years experience (hardware and software)
it’s very personal, a blemish to the reputation of our profession.

I totally agree with it Norton can be totally irritating by continually blocking half of my screen and I cannot work or read anything. Stop your constants notes.

Looks like there is a lot of interest in the subject. After having switched off VPN, drivers etc etc notifications. Yesterday AGAIN norton starts telling me that I am at risk etc. Not true. After more than 40 years of Norton yesterday I uninstalled it and have installed the free version of Bitdefender. And will most probably move to them. Thx everyone.

I had Bitdefender, but had to cancel it before renewal. And you know why I had to cancel it? Because of BSOD caused by atc.sys. Tried every single solution but no luck. This laptop came with Norton on it. And installing Bitdefender (after uninstalling Norton) caused this issue. So, basically I’m stuck with Norton.
You can remove them all go to settings and then notification the last point there remove them all permanent just remember there is a bug in it ass of the 25.5 there auto enabler it sometimes so tjek it randomly
