Norton Stopped Working on Windows 7 Professional

Not sure why but Norton 360 Deluxe has stopped working with Windows Professional Deluxe on my machine.  Even if I try to un-install Windows stops working.  I have used the Norton Uninstall & Re-install tool but no luck.  Any ideas?

Do you have Win 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1) installed?

If so, see employee Gayathri_R's SHA 2 Code Signing Support for Windows 7 that is pinned at the top of this board. If KB4474419 (SHA-2 code signing support for Windows 7, rel. 23-Sep-2019) is not installed on your system, download the 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) .msu standalone installer from the Microsoft Update Catalog at https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=KB4474419 Windows 7, save it to your desktop, and double-click to run.

That might get the latest Norton v22.21.6.53 (signed with SHA-2 digital certificates) to install correctly.  Once KB4474419 is installed it would also be worthwhile running a manual Windows Update to see if it can find any additional security updates released prior to the end of extended support on 14-Jan-2020 that are still missing from your system.
