My Wife was on the computer on July 16th and it locked up suddenly. A pop up with the Microsoft logo told him there was a virus with about 2,000 errors on our computer and supportandhelpus.com could take care of this. Then she got this Phone number “1800-872-8162” from called. She spoke to "Mike" (who sounded like he was from India), who took control of our computer and supposedly showed my husband several problems. Then he offered a service for $499.99 for one year, etc. My Wife gave "Mike" his credit card number and then called me at work and asked me if she should take the 1, 2 or 3-year plan. I knew it was a scam and told her to cancel it. That night I got home from work and there was a message on our answering machine from the credit card company saying there was some questionable activity on the card. On the 18th, "Mike" called and told me we did not call back to complete our transaction and threatened us with legal action. I hung up. Two minutes later, "Malcolm" (who also sounded Indian) called and said he was their attorney and he was going to sue me. I hung up. He kept calling back. We have been trying to resolve this ever since. When I Google this number than found website http:/ supportandhelpus . com/norton . php . They said they are Norton Support Executive.
