I have been running Norton SystemWorks Premiere 2006 for years. I have an active subscription to keep it up to date.
My wife tried to plug in a USB card reader today, but was having some issues with the system seeing the card inserted to the reader. So she shutdown the system and booted it.
The system would load Windows XP and you can see the scrolling computer screen as SystemWorks loads. However, System Works never finishes. She left it run for an hour and never saw any progress. She did a hard shutoff a couple of times.
I did a System Restore with GoBack back 27 hours to yesterday afternoon. But still the same issue appears. The hard drive is being hit so I'm not sure what SystemWorks may be doing.
I'm planning on letting the system run overnight to see if SystemWorks finally loads.
Any advice on what could be the issue and how to address it would be much appreciated. I've had not problems with this software for years. I'm not sure what is going on now.
