Express Cleanup was crashing (error message in the Microsoft Window: Express Cleanup has stopped working). I had no problems with Version 11, which I just replaced/updated with Version 12 under Windows Vista SP1.
I reviewed the Norton Cleanup Options and discovered that the one option causing the program to crash was “Recently opened document history” under the “Most Recently Used Files” option. Unchecking that single box, allows Express Cleanup to execute without crashing.
