Havin an odd problem with Norton Antivirus online, running on windows 7. Every time Norton runs auto update, something does not stop running and accessing my hard drive. It access the hard drive so much you cannot do anything else on the computer. Can barely get it to run Norton and only if you launch it immediately after rebooting. Went into resource monitor, it says something Symantic is accessing the hard drive the most. So when I run a full system scan, about halfway thru it whatever has taken over my computer stops. Suddenly the full system scan runs 1000% faster and boom, I'm okay for another week, then it happens again. Every time this happens Norton says it has just run auto update right before it started. I have tried letting it be, to see if whatever it is doing will finish, never finishes, not after 8 hours. Have uninstalled and reinstalled Norton, nothing still does it once a week, anyone ever had this problem?
