Have tried to download updates, but still cannot get Norton Tool bare to work with Firefox 10.0

Have done that. Disable is grayed out.. Unable to enable.  Norton tech tried that also.

Hello. 

 

I am having the same issue.  I know it was reported fixed in another thread (http://community.norton.com/t5/Norton-Internet-Security-Norton/Firefox-10-Support-for-Norton-Toolbar/td-p/648241). but that says you need version 18.7 or 19.5.  I have 19.2.  I check for updates and it says I have the latest version of Norton.  I have run LiveUpdate many times and rebooted to no luck.  Is there another fox/  How do I upgrade to 19.5?

I updated today to the latest Firefox 10.0.1 and the  latest Norton version 19.2.0.10.  The add-on/extenton page directed to above says that "Norton Toolbar is incompatible with Firefox 10.0.1".  There is no way to enable it as directed above so stop with the BS and get us a compatible upgrade.

 The latest Norton Version is in fact 19.5.0.145, so until you update to that version, FF 10 will not be compatible with the NTB.

 

Have you run LiveUpdate until it responds "no more updates available"?

I am sick of seeing "see this thread".  I'm PAYING for this stuff.  Why doesn't Norton simply fix the problem of not being able to use the toolbar with the latest version of Firefox?  Who'd problem is it - Norton's or Mozilla's?  Which one of y'all do I quit using?

I've tried this.  10 times in fact.  Click the LiveUpdate button over and over and over.  Still says "Your Norton product has the latest updates".  Version is still 19.2.0.10. 

 

So how do I update to 19.5.0.145?  If that's the latest version, and I just renewed my subscription yesterday, why don't I have it already?

Sorry for the issue you are facing. Please use Norton remove and Reinstall Tool to install NIS 2012 Latest 19.5.1.2 and run live update until it "shows no more updates required", then Restart your system whenever it requires.

 

Norton Removal tool link: www.norton.com/nrnr and follow the instructions which are mentioned there.

 

Before using the tool  take a backup of Identity safe data

 

Export Idsafe data to .DAT format ( Go to NIS main UI->Settings->Web->Log into identity safe->Export data)

 

Import your Identity Safe data (Go to NIS main UI->Settings->Web->Log into identity safe->Import data) using .DAT file which you have taken while export
