For the last few weeks id been noticing that firefox wasnt behaving as good as it normally does, if i am watching a you tube video and i click the pop out button the pop out window would open , slowly and the cpu would shoot up to 100% and firefox would hang for a few minutes, not only on you tube but on any site that if i clicked a link and a new window would open it would be the same, it was annoying me so today i had a spare few hours i decided to get to the root of the problem, i went back to basics and disabled all add ons, plugins & themes enabling them back on one by one after a good two hours of this i discovered that if i disabled the norton toolbar 5.1 then the issue was gone, i urge anyone else who uses firefox and has norton toolbar 5.1 installed [my toolbar was installed alongside norton internet security 2011] to try this with the pop out windows and please leave ur findings as a reply, so we can ascertain if it is a norton/firefox bug or if its just a one off on my machine, thanks for taking the time to read this and have a great day [especially my friends over the atlantic,happy thanksgiving].
