Hello,
I'm having the same problem as mentioned here (Norton Toobar absent from Firefox) and got excited when I saw there was a solution. Unfortunately, this solution doesn't work for me because I already have the current versions of both Firefox (3.6.8) and NIS (17.0.0.136). I verified this by checking for updates and was told I have the most recent versions. I, too, am running Windows 7 from a new full installation. I had been running XP Pro and had the toolbar just fine under that OS. After installing Win7 I did a fresh full install of NIS again and never got any warning messages; it went through a complete install as usual with no problem.
Also, I have checked and do not see any Norton add-ons present within Firefox. I do presently see the toolbar in IE so I know Norton did that much right when installed. Within Firefox I see all of the other links, toolbars and settings that were present from before.
Any new suggestions?
Thanks!
