I have paid attention, that on January, 10th was updated Norton Toolbar, the Version has remained former 2012.2.2.5. In what the reason for updating also that has changed?
Thanks for the answer
Hello gena
I have read your post several times. Please forgive me as I may not understand your post.
Norton Toolbar ver 2012.2.2.5 is the correct version for Firefox v 9.0.1
Please see Tony_Weiss post here
Norton Internet Security 2012 (19.2) Norton Toolbar: 2012.2.1.6 (previous version) -----> 2012.2.2.5 (updated version)
Jan 10th was Microsoft download Tuesday. You probably received several Windows Updates on Jan 10th.
I'm confused as to what you're reporting was updated on Jan 10th.
Thanks
Yes. The first updating Norton Toolbar was as soon as has left FirefoŃ… 9.0.1. And now I have paid attention, that date of updating has changed
Hi gena,
Thanks for the screenshot, but it appears that the important part is missing. There sholud be a Button showing that says either DISABLE or ENABLE. We need to know the status of it. In order for the Toolbar to work it has to say DISABLE.
Hope this helps.
Hello gena,
You want to know why ~ Norton Toolbar 2012.2.2.5 reports Last Updated - Tuesday, January 10, 2012
You want to know why the version number did not change despite information reporting the Toolbar was updated Jan 10th. The internals of the Toolbar engine are not privy to me.
The Intrusion Protection Definitions Set version was 20120110.002 or 01/10/2012 or January 10, 2012
The current Intrusion Protection Definitions Set version is 20120112.002 or 01/12/2012
The Toolbar version number will not change with every internal Definitions Set update.
Upon computer restart. You will see Last Updated date change...
The Toolbar version number reflects the compatibility update required for FF9.0.x
As far as I know ....
The release of FF10 will prompt Symantec to issue a Norton Toolbar compatibility update w version number update.
As Yank offered the important issue is whether the Toolbar is Enabled
Thanks and Sorry, that I was unsure regarding your original post.
