I have read lots of posts concerning the NIS 2011 Norton Toolbar and Identity Safe disappearing from the IE 9. I have disabled/enabled the 3 Norton add-ons several times and even reinstalled NIS 2011--to no avail. I chatted with a very nice Norton Support C.S. agent today who took command of my computer and determined that the problem is a Microsoft Windows 7 issue and not a Norton matter. Here is what we discovered: If I launch IE 9 from the Windows 7 taskbar at the bottom of the screen, the Norton Toolbar is not there, but if I open IE 9 from Programs or b y typing iexplore, the Toolbar and Identity Safe display. I posted this issue this on a Microsoft support site today as well.
