Norton toolbar

The Norton Tool Bar with Fishing protection, Norton Identity Safe, and Log-in tabs do not  show up in my view-toolbars tab or in my Firefox browser. How can I get the Norton Tool Bar to show up in my Firefox browser? I've already recently installed the latest version of Firefox (3.0.6)

Am using N360  on Vista SP1

Thanks

Bonjour JDP91,

Cordialement

Hi fterrazas,

I am sorry but I don't fully understand the question or the event you describe.

Could you provide a bit more detail?

Thanks!

From all indications a recent update has made the local vault capability un useable. the update is forcing everyone to the online vault. I have the Norton toolbar on my Internet Explorer and has an icon for opening the a volt to select a login. When i click it arop down giving me option to select a login or select functions like iport and export should appear. I get  login to to online vault but one repsonse is given it times out and says credential are not right or directs me to check my network. The only way to see my logins is to login to my Nortn Account, select NIS product. I get a set of tilles the represents all of my logins. If I click a tile I get a popup that gives me the detail of the login, I assume I can edit that entry. The icon on thebrowser does not change it still shows vault closed. If I jot down the information from the login I can enter it into the browser to get into that specific web site. I should be able to click a login entry and have it populate the browser to gain access to that web site.

Normal updates to the product should not have any effect on an established local vault. The local vault will remain in place even if the product is upgraded to the newest version by the overtop installation method. A local vault will be removed if the product is uninstalled and the option to "Remove all user data" is selected

In the newer versions you may be prompted very subtly to move your vault online and the wording is not always clear and some have mistakenly moved their data online which deletes the local vault.

The description leads me to think you had a v20 product.  Could you let us know what product (NIS or 360) you have and which version?  (Main UI > Support > About)

So you have not been able to login to your vault from the toolbar, correct?

It might be helpful if you could insert a screenshot of what you are seeing.

 Thanks!

Depending on what Norton product the OP had installed before the upgrade, there is at least one known condition by which the loss of their local vault can occur when doing an "over the top" upgrade...

Hello ELIZ LEUNG I'm following up to see if your issue was resolved. Can we assist further?

Cheers

Hello ELIZ LEUNG Are you running Creators update of Windows 10? That is the 1st pre-requisite for the current Edge extension. However the extension is "toolbar-less" therefore you will not see the traditional toolbar with the Edge browser.
