Our Norton Antivirus was updated from 21.7.0.11 to 22.5.0.124. no one admits they updated it - we did not want to update - maybe it auto-updates? anyway, after updating, we are having LOTS of trouble. it seems to quarantine a ton of files - most of them part of our actual POS (micros) program or other trusted programs. I added the entire D:\Micros directory to the ignore list. then it seemed to stop our in-house app from communicating, and it turned out something had stopped the service that runs the app in services.msc. coincidence, or can Norton stop a service? I had previously placed C:\relevant and C:\program files (86)\relevant in the ignore category, but Norton still seems to have stopped the service. we have 22 locations. 2 accidentally updated Norton and 20 did not. no problems at the 20, TONS of problems at the 2 with updates. I will try the suggested solution for the known issue with quarantine and Cloud.9 detection. I guess my biggest question is "can this version of Norton stop a service, and if so, how do I prevent that behavior?" and is there any way to return to 21.7.0.11?
