Norton Update Center error?

I think there might be an error in the source code of the  updatecenter.norton.com website.

When I access the website and click on the "Choose My Product Manually"  link for NIS 2012, I  get  a message saying that my product is already updated to the current version.  But this is obviously not true.  My copy of NIS is NIS 2011, and it is not the most up-to-date version of NIS.

So why is Norton telling me that my NIS  version is up-to-date when in fact the version that I have installed is the old NIS 2011 version?  This doesn't make any sense at all.

If I use the non-manual, auto-detect route for determining my update status, the updatecenter.norton.com website tells me that I have no Norton products at all on my computer, which is ridiculous! ! !  This could not possible be true, since I have a valid installation of NIS 2011 on my computer which  came pre-installed  on my computer.  Why cannot Norton detect that I have a valid and paid-up subscription. with several months of validity still remaining?

Has anyone else had such problems with the software on the updatecenter.norton.com website?

Here is what I get when I use updatecenterlnortonlcom's  automated AutoDetectPkg.exe route for autodetecting the Norton software on my PC:
