Issue abstract: Norton constantly tries to upsell customers
Detailed description: It’s impossible to totally rid my laptop of Norton popups that attempt to upsell me with additional Norton products. These instrusive and unwanted popups are unnecessary, unwanted and only serve to frustrate and enrage the user. I am seriously considering dropping my Norton subscription just to get rid of these intrusive popups for good. Please change your disgusting marketing strategy, Norton!
Product & version number: Norton 360 for Windows
OS details: Windows 11
What is the error message you are seeing? routinely receive unasked for, unwanted and instrusive popups trying to upsell me on additional Norton products.
If you have any supporting screenshots, please add them:
what pop of is it norton utilities antitrack ore other thing disable the last point under notification that should work at you problem in the 25.4 ore 25.5 version the name was disable mute special offer ass it is meant to do that just dont expect it to work 100% it is meant to work 100% but they just cant garanter it to work 100% it just got new name but do the same
I’ve turned off notifications in settings before; but, it seems that everytime there is an update, they are re-enabled by Norton once again. I don’t understand why we have to put up with this. We pay a lot of money for a Norton subscription. At least Norton should be able to respect our notification settings and make them permanent. If I want to receive sales promotions from Norton once again, I certainly know how to re-enable them, without Norton doing it for me when there is a version update!
Yes it will always do it evry time there is a major update if you update from 25.6 to 25.7 you has to do it agian and norton say that something are just that way and notification is one of them thing sorry
I have Send me Promotional Offer set to OFF - they were still there:- since 25.7 they no longer appear - see how long that lasts
Yes, thank you. I’ve just done the same, and I predict the changed setting will only survive until the next Norton update. You would think that Norton would get smart and stop alienating existing customers with its constant upselling. I’m tired of it!
