Norton Utilities 16 damaged by NIS scan.

Dear Forum Members & Experts

Now that the faults within the last main NIS update has been, on the whole, corrected I was wondering if Symantec/Norton are now going to help clear up some of the wreckage their NIS scan has left behind.

For example,  I found that my Norton Utilities 16 was damaged by a NIS auto scan conducted after that disastrous 22.5 update, i.e. the facility that deleted temporary files no longer works, it just continues to count fictitious temp files until it runs out of numbers and then I have to manually stop the program.

You will see from the following URL that I mentioned this problem on 18th July:

I did a reinstall of NU16 but this did not correct the problem, I was hoping that the damaged part would be replaced but this did not happen.

Consequently, I hope that Symantec/Norton will now release corrective updates for Norton Utilities 16 to fix the problems caused by NIS 22.5.
