My Norton Utilities 15 came up with an error message when runing the one-step optimization, Error 1706, it failed to find the path to "Redist.msi". Since Norton Utilities 16 was available, rather than fix it I just upgrade to 16, thinking it would fix things. It didn't. It still tries to find it, fails, and then runs but I'm sure it doesn't run completely or something. I have unintalled and reinstalled. I have also used the Norton Removal Tool even though it did not list Utilies 15 or 16 as something it removes. How can I fix this?
Thanks.

Huh! It fixed itself after 3-4 weeks. Just stopped doing it. Well, thanks for all the help guys.
Hi,
That .msi file is a microsoft file and may have been replaced when you did a windows update. It's used by your Norton product but it isn't provided by Norton.
