I installed the upgrade to Norton Utilities 16.
It automatically performed a bunch of scans and made changes to my system. The configuration does not allow me to disable the automatic scans - when I try to do so, I can disable all but one and then NU insists that I leave at least one active.
Furthermore, when the NU scan ran, it destroyed all of my Firefox customizations.
So far, this is a horrible upgrade.
I tried to contact Norton Support, but I could not find an email contact. They want me to fill out a form for phone support, which I do not want.
I hope someone from Norton is reading this. I am very unhappy with this "upgrade." NU15 worked very nicely.
Thank you for the response. That does work, and I figured it out before you wrote, but it is not at all clear from the way program is organized that that was the way to obtain the desired results.
Furthermore, there's no way that I think Norton Utilities should have installed with the defaults that caused these issues for me without at least warning me that it was doing so. If I did not have good backups, I would have been in for some very painful restoration of damage done by Norton Utilities.
