I have been having some problems using Norton Utilities 16 which have to do mostly with the product's interface:
- There is no option to select/deselect the registry problems detected after scan. There should be an option to deselect all on each category and another option to select / deselect based on importance (high , low priority).
- When running disk analysis (for fragmentation) the color results disappear as soon as the analysis is over. Why is that? Why won't the program let you review the results on the color map? It will just display the fragmentation percentage.
- Cleaning Internet Explorer cache takes too long (for a small amount of data) and also deletes files it shouldn't!! For example, it deletes files created by RSS feeds (such as dynamic desktop themes) which won't be able to refresh, unless you delete and reinstall the RSS link.
Thanks
John
There is no option to select/deselect the registry problems detected after scan
Sorry, I meant all together. I specified this in the next sentence. For example, if I want to delete only 10 of the 100 detected entries I will have to deselect 90. If there was a main select / deselect box in each category (and/or select by importance) I could deselect all and then select the 10 entries I'm sure about.
All of my three questions are feature suggestions / bug corrections to Symantec. I know how to "work around them" but I believe they should be improved or fixed.
Thanks anyway!
