I have just installed NU16 and can only get it to work in safe mode, if I try to use it in normal mode the computer freezes and I have to restart the computer.
I have a AMD 3800+ with 2gz memory running XP service pack3.
Basically I want to start-up NU along windows 7 (just like so many other programs automatiacally start up along Windows. e.g. your virus scanner, automatic back-up etc.). It's pretty bothersome to each time having to open a seperate folder and then fire up the NU utility. I'm sure these tasks can be automated?(or at least give us a choice).
Secondly I want an NU icon in my system tray for easy acces. Is it really so hard to do in this time and age? Or are the people at Norton just leazy? I doubt it, Because these very things were possible in NU 14. As usual the procucts that bring in the most $$$ get their undevided attention. Other products just have to wait, regarding impovements. That's hardly a healthy company policy and I'm already considering leaving Norton for what it is worth.. Bitdefender ans Kaspersky are just as efficient. Just to name a few. Don't think you're on top of the world, because those other companies aren't exactly sleeping either..
I like Norton Utilities 16. But how do I make it start-up along Windows? I don't see a setting for this. Also I'd like to minimize it to System Tray for easy access. It doesn't seem possible. Am I the only one who think this is annoying?
Krusty13, in all my post I have been talking about minimizing to the SYSTEM TRAY, NOT THE TASKBAR. If you don't even knwo the difference between those two, I'm afraid you can't help me. Thanks anyway.
's Ok. And I didn't mean to lash out. I know you're just trying to help - which I greatly appreciate. Actually I feel frustrion towards Norton, not towards you.
