Hello:
I am using WIndows 7, 64bit. Just installed Norton Utilities 14.5 about a few hours ago and ran the Clean the Registry option first and restarted the computer with no problem. Than I ran the "Defragment your Registry" option which I checked create a system restore point. After that the defragment completed and I restarted my computer. After I get past the windows logo, I get the blue screen of death and the computer restarts on its own and the process repeats. Safe mode of all types and last known good configuration does not work and will also lead to the same blue screen. So basically, I just need a way to get back to my normal windows screen to restore at that save point.
The blue screen message is as follows:
A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer. A process or threat crucial to system operation has unexpectedly exited or been terminated.
Goes on a bit and on the bottom it states Collecting data for crash dump, intializing disk for crash dump, begining dump of physical memory, dumping physical memory to desk.
Any help would be appreciated thank you.
