I recently installed Norton Utilities that came bundled with Norton Internet Security 2010, i was still using Internet Explorer 8 at this time. But IE 8 became unstable for me, constantly crashing and slowing down so i downloaded the latest Firefox browser. Since this Firefox install the disk cleanup in Norton Utilities appears to be ignoring 90% of the temp files collected by Firefox, even though i know my web cache should be around 60MB to 80MB. In the Utilities' settings both IE 8 & Firefox are ticked as browsers to clean but i regularly only need to clean 4KB or a little more after 2 hours of web activity. I know this cannot be right. As a back up program i downloaded CC Cleaner and that appears to be reading my disk usage exactly the same.
My anti virus etc is up to date, Microsoft security features are also up to date, i have no malware or infection on my machine. The pc is a little over 12 months old and the only new programs added to my machine are Norton Internet Security 2010 (bundled with Norton Utilities) and CC Cleaner.
