I recently had to upgrade my Norton Antivirus to the 2012 version. So I went to the store and they were selling it packaged with Norton Utilities and Ghost. I already have Ghost, but not Utilities. I've been running Norton Internet Explorer for probably 5 or 10 years.
When I installed Utilities and put it to work, it seemed to work fine........until the next day when I began to notice my favorites are beginning to not work. They're still listed as a favorite, but when you click on it, nothing happens. You don't get re-routed to the favorite's website. I thought the link might have been corrupted somehow, so I tried to delete it from my favorites list to set it up all over again, but it won't delete either. It also won't allow me to overwrite the non-working favorite. And when I try to re-do the favorite, it also won't let me type in my own name for the favorite.
At first it was only one or two favorites. But with each passing day, it's slowly wiping out more and more favorites. Pretty soon none of my favorites will work - and I have hundreds.
This all began with the installation of Norton Utilities.
If anyone can help I'd greatly appreciate it. I've done a search here on this site and internet-wide, and can't find anyone else with this problem.
