Norton Utilities/Nortonlifelock 360 are they the same?

I had to reload a computer from scratch. When I downloaded the program from the link it installed Norton Utilities? On my computer it says NortonLifeLock 360 at the top? Both look different, but the Norton Utilities does not like it is an antivirus program? Are they different programs? I try to look for Norton anti virus and can not seem to get past Utilities on this computer.  Thanks Bruce

Had to contact Norton thanks. Ended finding out that for some reason when it was bought, it had not been registered under my account. Once that was done, I had no problem. Thanks for your assistance. Bruce

Is there any error message when you try to enter the product key?

If you install by clicking on the Download button from your Norton Account, it will download and install a pre activated copy of your product. You will not have to enter the product key.

They  do not make it easy. I had to reinstall windows 10. I am trying to put it back on a 2nd computer. Originally it showed the device was protected (though it was not) Finally I tried the reinstall tool, did not work. I deleted the license for the 2nd one. I get to enter the Product Key, I enter the correct one, and it just keeps going back to the enter product Screen? Almost 2 day and it is starting to drive me crazy lol Thanks Bruce

Hi Bruce,

No, Norton 360 Security (A/V) and Norton Utilities are two different programs.  If your subscribed to Norton 360 with auto-renewal active, you're allowed to download the new Norton Utilities for free.

Click on Start and check installed programs or in the search box type Norton and see if it lists Norton 360 anywhere.
