Norton Utilities removed my MS Office Licence Info

Thought I would give Norton Utilities a go today so downloaded the free trial. Below is what I did:

 - Downloaded and installed free trial

 - Ran 1-click optimisation, which found tons of registry problems amongst others

- Decided to use NU to compact the registry, creating a restore point.

- Rebooted

Now when I try and use ANY MS Office application the software opens but as an unlicensed copy and gives me an error message saying that product activation ctannot be found and suggests using control panel to repair. Did that and get same error. Had a live chat with Norton Support but no joy - restored to restore point but still same problem.

What I would like to know is:

a) How the hell this could happen. It is definitely something that NU has done

b) How the hell do I get Office 2010 back!?i

I think I need to perhaps edit the registry and perhaps recover the config/licence file but no idea what I am looking for.

HHEEEEELLLLPPPPP!
