It's very annoying. I'll start the computer and then find that all my CPU is being consumed by SmartUpdate.
I end up killing all those process cuz it makes my i7 machine run very very very slow.
Windows 8 -- 64 bit -- 12GB RAM

Machine also has Norton 360 (20.2.1.22)
