Norton Utilities “Ultimate” deleted most of my data - How to get in touch with "L2 Support"?

Issue abstract: Norton Utilities “Ultimate” deleted most of my data

Detailed description:

I was using Norton Utilities Ultimate “Uninstaller” (part of “Manage Programs”) and uninstalled what I though to be just the program “Grammarly”, however this then managed to delete almost all of the programs from my laptop, including Steam, Blizzard, Browsers (Edge AND Chrome), most of my games, and most of the data associated with them. I cannot undo this in the “Undo Center” and when I tried to do a system restore, Windows could not complete it.

It was so bad that it actually made Norton Utilities “Ultimate” unusable. I was able to download Firefox from the windows play store/apps and use that to reinstall utilities. However I am still stuck and an impasse. To make it better, the original System Restore point has been overwritten AND my laptop periodically stops reading my wifi as accessible, so I have to restart randomly.

I was on a chat with remote access with support for 5 hours on Saturday, and was told it will “Be escalated to my senior” and that support would contact me again “Within 24-48 hours.” Well, 51 hours passed with no support so I opened a new chat, and then I called the help line. I got the same blurb that “They will be in contact as soon as possible” but I just don’t believe it now.

Nobody has helped me with processing a refund and extra for the trouble of losing 7 years of data.

hvis min info er rigtig bliver det fix meget snart jeg kan ikke sige mere da alt info er under nda men nok i en hotfix sammen med andre fejl jeg kan jo ikke sige noget 100% men som en temp løsning download revo uninstaller du må bruge den i 30dage gratis hvis min info er rigtig er det fix inden for 30dage nok senest den 14 i næste måned men jeg er ikke 100% og forvent nogle nice rettelser meget snart spørg om vad de fixer hvis du vil have hjælp når en patch kommer må jeg jo sige patch noten bare ikke før og du må heller ikke hør vad de har planlagt men du skal glæde dig jeg kan ikke sige mere da det er for store ting

Did you try the Data Recovery feature in NUU under the Manage Data section of the app?

I did on our previous support chat on Saturday. The prompt urged me to install to a different drive than the original (C:\) but my support tech told me it should be fine, so I put it on C:\. I just ran it again and it pulled up 2.2 more GB of data, should I do the same? The last recovery did not fix or return anything that was apparent from a quick overview

Dont do a thing at all understand if you dont want to loose you file i say ok when you must ok
