Hi ,I’m new here , so I hope I’m doing this right. I had Norton Utilities 2002, installed previously, and have purchased Norton Utilities V 14. I miss some of the features in 2002, like Win Doctor and Speed Disk etc, and wonder can I have both versions installed, or will there be a conflict. Appreciate any help, Regards all, Geoff Hickling.

HI Yogesh, thanks for your reply, but you did not answer my original question. I had Systemworks 2006, which I uninstalled due to cpu drag, and bought Norton Utilities V14, hoping it would be as lightweight as NIS 2009. My question still is , will NU 2002 live happily with NU 2009,operating together ? Thanks Geoff Hickling
Yes, I do think so since the Norton Utilities 14.0 & Norton SystemWorks 2006 are different products and they can co-exist. I am not aware of any compatibility issues between Norton Utilities 14.0 and NIS/NSW/N360.
Yogesh, sorry to keep harping on this, but I want to use BOTH Norton Utilities 2002, and 2009 versions, as they have different features. I am not using Systemworks… Thanks. Do you think they will conflict ?
I have answered my own question! Norton Utilities 2002 works fine with version 14 2009. They have different features, and different installation… No conflicts, so far,and I have cherry picked V14’s best features. There aren’t many. Don’t waste your money.
I have now uninstalled Norton Utilities V14. It’s 90mb of bloatware, and it’s in the garbage, where it belongs. I have gone back to NU 2002.I thought Symantec had learned from past experience with Systemworks. Apparently not…Unfortunately, I’m too late to get my money back, but I’ve learned a valuable lesson.
