Hello, I had noticed an offer for which I think will end at the closure of January 2011 to be able to purchase NU15 with my renewal of 360 for a good discount and would like to take advantage of that offer however I have an issue with being able to run the UnErase feature.
On the 1st day I had run the UnErase (UE) and it was going through quite a few files so I hit stop and went on to look at other features and had not run it again until a few hours ago. Upon starting UE and setting it to do the C: drive (only physical drive in the computer but partitioned to the E: drive) after a few seconds and not going anywhere I get the error message "Norton UnErase GUI module has encountered a problem and needs to close". The funny thing is that running it on the E: drive appears to work just fine (It is a 21Gig partition along with the same (primary) C: drive of a reported 127Gig's and close to 50Gig free).
I run on a Single Core 2.4G with 1.5G of RAM on a WinXp Home system.
Should you require the details of the error or any other information I am able to find for you please let me know as I have uninstalled/re-installed the product and it does not seem to make a difference. As far as I know nothing has been added or any major changes made since the install a few days ago other than running the features (reg cleanup, privacy clean, disk scan/clean, etc) in NU15.
The UE feature would be one I would hope to use with the purchase and would only take advantage of it while it is at it's price point so I hope I can figure something out before it disappears.
Thank you very much,
