Norton Utilities version 16.0.1.4 & Windows 8.1

Hi Everyone!

 

I have Norton Utilities 16.0.1.4 (Windows 8.1), and every time I try opening it on my computer, a small window pops open saying this: “Core product file(s) have been modified. Please run smart update or reinstall the product". I have tried running and reinstalling the product but nothing seemed to work. Now still every time I try opening Norton Utilities 16.0.1.4 the same window shows up and I don’t know what to do with it. It also won’t allow the automatic scanning to go on at 7:00 p.m. which means that it doesn't allows the program to open. I would like to get some help.
