Norton Vault produced the following message: "Your Norton Account is temporarily locked due to too many failed log-in attempts

Yesterday I updated Norton 360 to version 22.5.0.124, then  tried to logon to my ID Safe in Chrome browser and also via the Norton 360 menu. My Norton Vault produced the following message: "Your Norton Account is temporarily locked due to too many failed log-in attempts..Verify that your password is correct and try again later." 

I don't know WHY there were failed log-in attempts!  I've then changed my password via the internet in my Norton account and have tried multiple attempts over two days - all resulting in the same message. Can anyone help with a solution?
