We are pleased to announce the release of Norton VPN browser Extension 2.5.0 for Windows and macOS

3. What are the changes in this release?

  • User-facing changes:
    • Removal of Acceptable Ads: We have removed the “Acceptable Ads” feature from the VPN browser extension. Clicking the “Settings” (Gear) icon on the Norton VPN browser extension will launch the Norton VPN app’s “Settings” section

  • Background improvements to performance and stability.
  • Minor bug fixes and other small enhancements.

4. How to obtain this new version:

  • Available to download via the respective browser Web Store: Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Mozilla Firefox.
  • Auto-update will happen in the background as long as:
    • The browser itself is up to date.
    • Auto updates for extensions are enabled (this is ON by default).
