Hello: Seems that each time I allow my PC to "sleep" (overnight), I need to "re-activate" the VPN upon using the PC again (in the morning). Is there a better way to have the VPN "stay active"? What am I missing? 
Does anyone think Norton will ever fix this issue? I've been hearing them say the fix will be in a future update for months. I've been a Norton user for years, but this one issue just about has me ready to seek another vendor. Plus, I can't find anything on the net that says Norton is really concerned about this issue. Has anyone seen anything from Norton higher-ups on this?

I too am having the problem of having to start the Secure VPN every time I start my computer. Everything else in Norton 360 is automatic ~ I don't see why the Secure VPN shouldn't be auto-start also.
I was afraid this is what the answer was going to be!!! Well, I hope an announcement will be rolled out if this is ever changed to "Automatic start" in the future!!!
At this time, there is no way to have the VPN feature of Norton 360 start automatically. This is the way Norton has designed it. Many suggestions for more control of the VPN feature have been made, but no action on this suggestion yet.
