3. What are the changes in this release?
- User-facing changes:
- Post-Quantum Encryption(PQE) implementation: Post-Quantum Encryption is a future-ready security feature in Norton VPN that helps protect encrypted connections against emerging quantum-computing threats. It is introduced to reduce long-term risks, such as “harvest now, decrypt later” attacks, in which encrypted data captured today could be targeted in the future. Customers can benefit from this protection now when using supported Norton VPN connections.
- This feature is available under Settings (Gear icon at the top right) → VPN Preferences
- When enabling this feature, the users will be prompted with the above dialogue box describing the feature and the supported Protocol.
- This feature works with WireGuard and Mimic Protocol.
- This feature is available under Settings (Gear icon at the top right) → VPN Preferences
- Manual IP Refresh : Users can refresh the IP address manually without changing the region or turning OFF the VPN.
- When the VPN is turned ON – Tap the circular icon(next to the disconnect icon) to change the IP address without connecting to a different region.
- Users will be prompted to enable the Kill Switch(if it’s turned OFF) when refreshing the IP, as shown in the following snapshots.
- Please NOTE:
- The refresh icon only appears when the VPN is connected and not paused.
- This feature is ideal when streaming fails, sites don’t load, or CAPTCHA keeps appearing.

- Download from the App Store: Open App Store and search for Norton VPN Fast & Secure and download the latest version from there.
- Automatic update rollout: If you’re an existing user, the update is being rolled out automatically in phases. It will install on your device once it becomes available for your account.
