We are pleased to announce the release of Norton VPN Standard / Plus / Ultimate 26.6.1 for macOS.

3. What are the changes in this release?

  • User-facing changes/updates:
    • Split Tunnel Feature: Bringing the Split Tunnel feature to this platform(macOS).
      • This feature allows you to choose certain apps to bypass the VPN tunnel, while the rest of your internet traffic stays protected through the VPN connection.
      • This feature is available under Settings → VPN Preferences tab → Split-Tunnel

    • Post-Quantum Encryption(PQE) implementation: Post-quantum cryptography is designed to help protect encrypted data against future quantum-computing threats, including scenarios in which attackers collect encrypted traffic today in the hope of decrypting it later. Our work includes strengthening key-exchange protections in Norton VPN technologies and planning phased client updates as needed.
      • This feature is available under Settings → VPN Preferences tab → Post-Quantum Encryption

4. How to obtain this new version:

  • Download from your account: Sign in to your account via the My Norton portal and download the latest version from there.
  • Automatic update rollout: If you’re an existing user, the update is being rolled out automatically in phases. It will install on your device once it becomes available for your account.
