Hi. I have had problems ever since I installed the WiFi Privacy software. It seldom opens and now that I want to reinstall (per the suggestion of tech support), I cannot. Does anyone know how I can delete, then reinstall this software, when it states I must close first when it won't let me? Thanks in advance!
Did you try clicking on the gear icon to access the NWP settings? That has the option at the bottom to 'Quit Norton Wifi Privacy'. This will work from a standard Windows user account.
Hello PJ. You can terminate the NWP processes by opening your task manager, ctrl+alt+del on your keyboard. In the menu select Task Manager and a listing of running processes will appear. Scroll down the list and find the NWP process, highlight it then right mouse click. Select terminate and the process will close. You can then uninstall the product from within the control panel.
One thing to take note of is making sure you are using WiFi Privacy while logged in under an admin account.
Cheers
