NortonSecurity.exe 100% CPU usage when PC goes idle

When the PC goes idle, after ~15min or so, I can hear the CPU fans revving up and they just keep going. If I then wake the PC, I can see in the CPU history that the two preferred P-Cores were maxed out at 100% usage (2/8 Cores, on a 13900K). It occurs each time the PC goes idle.

This happens while absolutely no scans are scheduled (checked Norton config and Win10 task scheduler), and I double-checked all Norton360 settings: Idle tasks etc. are set to off or manual. Backup is off, idle time optimizer is off etc.

I'm also certain this did not occur a few days ago so it has to be due to a recent change. This I can say because I often work on my laptop right next to my main PC, and before I could notice the desktop PC going idle (screen off), but no fans noise whatsoever; i.e. CPU wasn't heavily used.

Many thanks in advance for any fix or insight.

PS: Norton 360 latest version (via auto live update) running on Win10 64bits up-to-date.
