Nortron Systemworks 2009 - Disk Doctor - Error on Hard Disk 3 - Master Partition Table is Unreadable

I have two internal hard drives.  When I run Partition Magic, Disk 3 is shown as a USB Western Digital external HD.

I have no idea why Disk Doctor shows an error on Hard Disk 3, even with the USB devices disconnected.

If I ignore the error and proceed to run Disk Doctor on all the Hard Drives, physical and logical, it reports no errors.

This is a Dell machine with a hidden boot partition, but why would that show as possibily HD 3?

When I look at the BIOS, as suggested in a Norton article, the  BIOS only shows two SATA HDD and the USB controller.

Also, the error reported by Systemworks Disk Doctor is immediate, even before the Disk Doctor Spash Screen, like its reading the BIOS or boot.ini data.  The error suggests the only way to fix the Master Partition Table is with a low level format.  At this point, I'm really not sure which HDD Norton thinks is Disk 3 and sure don't want to low level format anything.

Anyone have a suggestion as to what is causing this error?  It did not appear with Norton Systemworks 2005 (I just upgraded to 2009).

Could it be that "hidden" Dell maintenance partition? - But why Disk 3 - which would point to one of the Western Digitals on a USB controller and shouldn't even be in a boot record.

Thanks
