...Nathan's worse. (D**ned robo-answers!) OK, so I just d/l Firefox again - last time I deleted it was about 6-8 months ago because of continual buggy Adobe support (couldn't reliably load .pdf or print /pdf files from Firefox) - anyway, today, I get a warning from Firefox "Update Available - Firefox 6.0 - A security and stability update is available. IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED THAT YOU APPLY THIS UPDATE TO FIREFOX AS SOON AS POSSIBLE," then when I hit the Update Firefox button, I get a warning, "Incompatible Add-ons Found. Some of your add-ons won't work with this update and will be disabled. Norton Toolbar 2011.7.0.8." What to do. I am ready to disable Firefox again.
The other day, I tried to load a plugin for d/ling videos from YouTube, and there was a convert utility that allowed "download and convert" which simply didn't work - even after I paid the (rip-off) $28 to keep the convert program from overlaying an ad on the resulting converted (.flv to mpeg2 for DVD creation) files. So , so disappointed in Mozilla....every time I start using it in the past few years.
Anyway, I Norton doing anything in response...do I update and then lose Safe Web Browsing, Safe Search and Identity Safe Cards? I am sure somebody will answer this....but I get the feeling that Norton doesn't care anymore...
